PERSONAL EXPLORATIONS
YEAR: 2021 – 2025
Tejada’s personal artistic practice centers on the creation of immersive, highly detailed pictorial worlds where nature, symbolism, and memory intertwine. Working primarily through painting and illustration, her work explores themes of abundance, transformation, identity, and the intimate relationship between human culture and the natural environment. In series and artworks such as Primavera, Dreams of an Amazon, and Man of Paradise, Tejada constructs lush visual narratives populated by botanical elements, mythic references, and carefully staged compositions that evoke both dreamscapes and contemporary still lifes. Her practice is characterized by meticulous attention to color, texture, and iconography, blending references from art history, tropical and temperate landscapes, and personal mythology. Across her body of work, Tejada invites viewers into contemplative spaces where time slows, ecosystems become symbolic, and visual storytelling serves as a bridge between the sensual, the emotional, and the cultural.
