PROJECT: Earthquake Emergency Relief Fund
YEAR: 2026
ESPAÑOL
En Colombia Somos Como las Flores was born from the need to respond to that feeling through the language I know best. The title takes its inspiration from the Colombian classic “Las caleñas son como las flores”, performed by The Latin Brothers and Piper Pimienta, a song deeply connected to Cali and to the cultural memory of the region. Here, the phrase expands beyond one city and becomes a portrait of Colombia as a whole. The work brings together different species of Colombian flora, each with its own form, colour, rhythm and character, growing alongside one another in constant movement. Flowers have always carried something profoundly human for me. They are delicate, resistant, adaptable and capable of returning.
This fundraising edition transforms that image into a gesture of solidarity. All profit from the project will be donated to between one and three organizations working directly with communities and families affected by the earthquake, with priority given to the areas in greatest need. Everyone who participates in the project will receive a follow up detailing where the funds were donated and how they were allocated. The intention is simple: to create something rooted in beauty, memory and place, and allow it to contribute materially to the people and territories at the heart of this emergency.
All works are signed and individually numbered, and each Limited Edition Print is accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity.
